It was a blustery rainy autumn night, so I made soup and these sticky lovelies (eaten warm of course with butterscotch sauce and cream) to share with some dear (hungry) friends. Delicious.

I've been meaning to tell you, I bought Nigel Slater's "Kitchen Diaries" based on your recommendation. LOVED IT. Loved it so much, in fact, that I have now also bought his "Real Fast Food" and "Appetite." What a treasure! Thank you for recommending him! He's the kind of food writer I love to read.
