It's that time of year again, when the grapes are picked and pressed for fresh juice ('suuser') and then made into wine. Next weekend the local vineyard will be picking their grapes and all and sundry can come and trample them!
Sausages and other specialities made from grapes and/or their skins etc are also to be had.
These grapes were given to me by a lovely friend who grew them herself, and they were absolutely delicious, with a deep spicy flavour that you just can't get from mass-produced grapes.
gorgeous and perfect for the season—at the farmer's market this week, you could actually smell the grapes from several feet away. They are just so different from the generic supermarket ones...
